Creativity and inspiration are encouraged in early childhood. The changing seasons, the holidays, the environment—these are the topics that fuel the imagination. Songs, stories and arts and crafts projects are incorporated into daily activities. The reading corner, dress up corner and a computer corner give little minds opportunities for creativity and innovation.

Beginning academics are woven into the Day Care curriculum. Children work on letters, numbers and pre reading and writing skills.
Physical activity is important for all children. Motor skills are enhanced through time spent in the indoor bike room and on the grounds of the beautiful outdoor playground featuring adaptive play equipment. |
Cooperation begins in the early years. Taking turns, listening to directions, learning the words to songs, paying attention during story time, sharing toys and games, the importance of good manners are life’s lessons woven into everyday activities.
A caring environment makes a difference. There is no doubt that children flourish in a warm and loving setting. Self confidence grows when children are valued for their individual attributes and for their ability to see the best in others.

Day Care is part of the bigger Prime Time picture. Children participate in all Prime Time school-wide programs, including holiday shows and celebrations, the annual PTO Book Fair and visits by local clowns, magicians and other special guests.
Flexible schedules mean children may spend part of the day in Day Care and part of the day in Prime Time’s Preschool or School-Age divisions. Some children enrolled in Prime Time Day Care may be eligible for Prime Time Preschool through the New York State Universal Pre Kindergarten (UPK) program. UPK provides 2 ½ hours of free early childhood education five days a week for 180 days for qualified four-year-olds. Random selection for UPK eligibility is administered by the child’s school district.
Because Day Care, Preschool and School-Age programs are located at the Prime Time campus in New City, NY, children are at ease with the transition from one program to another.
