Early Intervention (EI)

Through EI, your infant with an intellectual or other developmental disability may receive physical, occupational, speech and play therapies at home beginning shortly after birth. The Rockland County Department of Health will send a representative to your home to initiate the EI process. You will have the opportunity to choose an agency to evaluate your child. You may select Prime Time for Kids as your evaluating agency to observe your child and discuss his or her observations with you. If you choose Prime Time as the provider of services, we will work in conjunction with you and the Health Department to arrange for appropriate therapeutic services.

To set the Early Intervention process in motion, please call the Rockland County Department of Health at 845-364-2512.

Guest speakers and lively discussions focus on topics of interest to parents and guardians of children of all abilities. PTO sponsored events generate funds for special items such as training wheels for bicycles. Proceeds are also used for activities and trips to destinations, including the Big Apple Circus, Matterhorn Nursery, a local farm and Wee Play (an activity center for young children) in Nanuet, New York.
