The Fitness Center—Keeping in shape is important at every stage of life. A regular regimen of exercise is designed for each person enrolled at Franklin Square. Time spent on the treadmill, the exercise bike or using weights to increase strength and mobility is time well spent.

Individual and Family Meetings—Franklin Square staff members meet with students and family members to assess individual strengths and weaknesses, dreams and goals and together, create a plan for the future.
Academics—Lessons in history, literature, math and current events are woven into the overall curriculum. Rockland County Libraries—Regular visits to many of the county’s fine libraries give Franklin Square students the chance to comb the aisles for books of particular interest or for audio and video tapes. Listening to interesting and informative speakers at various libraries broadens knowledge and ensures community involvement.

Therapeutic Swim—Weekly year ’round trips to ARC of Rockland’s beautiful indoor therapeutic pool in New City are highlights of the Franklin Square curriculum. Rain or shine, the comfortable waters are a great way to gain muscle tone and improve one’s backstroke. The therapeutic pool is overseen by an ARC Aquatics Director credentialed as a Certified Pool Operator.
