| ARC of Rockland Senior Stars Self Advocacy Awards |

Officers of the ARC Senior Stars Self Advocacy Committee were honored today for their successful completion of a twelve week course in self advocacy. Awardees received certificates of accomplishment and leadership ribbons. Jordan Jankus, Regional Coordinator for the Hudson Valley New York State Self Advocacy Association addressed the group. The focus of this twelve week course was on the four principals of self advocacy: know your rights; identify your dreams, talents and problems, what you want to do or where you want to go; speak up and get action.
