It's the icing on the cake of life - the hobbies, activities, events and opportunities that fill our leisure hours. It's what we do on weekdays after work or school, on weekends or during vacations. Recreation is the way in which we fill our leisure hours. At ARC of Rockland, recreation runs the gamut from the athletic to the artistic. Year 'round courses, classes and trips provide opportunities for creativity, socialization, exercise and good old-fashioned fun. Some events or activities are free, some require a fee.

To request information, brochures or a fee schedule, please call (845)267-2500. Ask for Recreation.

Adult Recreation
Spring, fall and winter sessions give adults ages 18 and over, the chance to choose from a wide variety of activities - both indoors and out. Tai Chi/Yoga classes, line dancing, billiards, an all-action movie club and a digital photography course are some examples of ARC Recreation offerings.

Tuxedos and corsages are the order of the evening for the annual, fabulous Stardust Ball replete with music, dancing and a four course dinner. Dances, attendance at professional sporting events and visits to museums are a sampling of ARC recreation. Some activities are based at ARC headquarters in Congers, others are available at ARC's Franklin Square campus in Pearl River and still other leisure activities take place in the community-at-large.
