Life is sprinkled with periods of transition - exciting times, trying times, times of exploration and expectation. Times of indecision and decision regarding education, career, housing, and community involvement. From the moment of birth, we find ourselves in a state of flux. The transition of one family member affects all members of the family. ARC reaches out to help people with developmental disabilities and their families navigate the sometimes rough waters of change.
Franklin Square - Discovering Possiblities
Our Pearl River based campus is designed for post high school graduates. Working with each student separately, a curriculum of study and practical experience aids young people in determining possible job preferences or finding fulfillment in the world of volunteerism. Improving written and spoken language skills, interviewing techniques, physical fitness, the arts and computer technology are incorporated into courses on the restaurant/food industry, retail business and other types of work.
