First Place Winners in ARC of Rockland’s 8th Annual American Ideal competition brought down the house during the finale performance and reception, Friday, April 8 at ARC headquarters in Congers, NY. The winners are, from left: Brandon Colon, 20-29 age category; Erin Reilly, 12-19 category and Louis Tavolacci, 30 and older category. Mr. Colon sang “Don’t Wanna Lose You Now.” Ms. Reilly sang, “Hot ‘n Cold,”  and Mr. Tavolacci sang, “I’m Already There.”

Guests participated in a Model Seder April 7 at the New City Jewish Center. The event included a reading of the Passover story along with an opportunity to sample traditional Seder foods. Pictured from left are: Alyssa Barba, Lindsey Breski and Jessica Sirota. The Seder is one of several events commemorating holidays celebrated annually by Jewish Family Services and ARC of Rockand.
